Cherry Blossoms in Exile - presented by Blackball Universe

Cherry Blossoms in Exile - art and music and good company  Facebook link

Opening Reception     Friday, March 1, 2013 7:00pm

Blackball Universe Music, 230 Madison, Oakland, CA 94606

Your's truly will have a show at a very music oriented place, showcasing a little bit of everything, from sophisticated to funky stuff. There will be my signature work, LineScaping works, mixed media collage, recycled art, and paintings, lots of prints, the famous notecards, and more!

Some sneak pre-peek at the show...

There will be two other artist who will share the exhibit.

Ashley Adams is a SF Bay Area native who calls upon the spirit of the outdoors to "make her viewers look at nature through a different perspective." Finding the unexpected in our natural environment, Ashley explores the beauty of life through photography. She has been featured in a variety of publications, including Photo Induced and Arts Acts.
Tomo Kamiya is a recent graduate of the Pasadena Art Center College of Design with a B.F.A. in Illustration, but has been creating and developing her style for years. Originally from Japan, Kamiya grew up partly in Tokyo and partly in the smaller city of Sendai. Using these opposite environments for inspiration, her art conveys the split nature and duality of life.

Artist's reception on the first Friday in March, 3/1 at 7pm. Live painting by Momoko Sudo, and live music by Blackball Universe.

"Cherry Blossoms in Exile" will be on display from March 1-30, with regular Saturday hours from 12-4pm.
