Artist's Garage Sale! - Sunday in Oakland, CA

Over One Hundred Clearance Original Art and Prints!

This Sunday, May 22, 2011, I will release my accumulated clearance items at a local market. These are truly "garage sale prices" so they don't bite your wallet. The prices start from $1, and lots of $5 and $10, $15 items and up.

Take a look at the items list here so you know what are going to be up for sale on Sunday. Items listed as 'original' are original and others are prints of different sizes.

I plan to put at least 100 items, and about half of them are originals (paintings, collage, drawings, and more)!

Between now and Sunday morning, I will continue to post candid photos of the items that will appear at "Artist's Garage Sale."

If you can't make it to the market but any of the items interests you, let me know. I will prorive more information about the piece, together with an online invoice you can follow to pay. The payment has to be received by Saturday in order for me to secure the item for you.

Pixel

"Pixel" was a paper collage made as a commission order while back ago. Papers were Japanese rice paper, and background was colored with acrylic paint. This is also a cropped section of the entire piece.

"Pixel" is a name of a cat.

coffee beans

Once upon a time a Swiss coffee drink company did a nation wide promotion in the States, and this is a section of my coffee beans work painted on a refrigerator. Actually it's a paper collage. 

more black and white design

I have made many black & white linescaping paintings, but somehow people like the cards make of cropped image of a large piece I make years ago. Many of my black & white linescaping cards were made of the image below. They are cropped into smaller sections for making the notecards just like the photo above.

A Place for Sustainable Living

The launching event at "A Place for Sustainable Living" (http://aplaceforsustainableliving.org/) last Saturday was a bit challenging, with a high wind that stirred up the dirt ground, spraying dust onto everything and smacking down vendors' setups, and absence of consumers. My sale was $8, which was surprising to me, as I didn't think I would sell anything under the circumstances.

Due to the nature of this place promoting and education on sustainable living, I displayed only recycle art. Since I am rather known for linescaping art, many don't know that I make recycle art.

I know people LOVE black & white. It gives the most optical effect to our eyes.

Q - Pinkie Purple

"Q" series with purple. The middle writings are Noh Script.

Q - red

In the original form of "Q," the red was the most popular one. But when I sell as prints, orange one is the best seller. I have not found out which color sells more than others as notecards.

resin work - Strings Attached

This is a shot of my resin work called "Strings Attached." The upper half is the shadow and reflection of the resin.

saturated la la land

Somehow I like things on funky side. I adjusted the color on a saturated side but not too much, and I like the way it is. Compare to the original color.

Originally this was a paper collage on a solid wood.
